Happy Mean Girls Day (2018)! October 3rd falls on a Wednesday this year so we wear pink. Dress accordingly!
Meet The Skeletons in My Closet
This year
I want to read more because I realized that college exhausted my love of learning and I now have the time and energy to read for leisure. After the Momen’s March, I decided to amend my goal to read at least one book by a female author per month. I’m going to keep updating this list as we go through the year!
- January: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
- February: The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
- March: The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
- April: Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling
- May: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Have you ever not liked someone but still hoped they liked you and continued to talk to them in hopes of confirming this bc you are a giant narcissist???
I don’t think I’ve ever been in this position before. To maybe want to be friends with a guy. To think that it would be possible to have more romantic feelings for him even though I really, truly don’t. Do you ever feel that biological need to just be with someone, even when you know you don’t. We don’t work romantically and I think we both know that. But it’s almost like we don’t want to stop trying for the sake of companionship. There’s nothing there. That’s what I tell myself.
In my dreams, there’s a partner, a love, a man. But he’s just a blank storyline that you’re filling in. It’s not you. It’s not even him. It’s the idea.
I’m sorry you’re playing understudy to a made up man. We both deserve something better.
